SLU is No. 2 performing school in Pharmacist board exam
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that was SLU had a 99.04 rating or 207 out of the 209 examinees passed the Pharmacists Board exams given by the Board of Pharmacy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Iloilo earlier this month.
The University of the Philippines Manila is the topnotcher with a 100 percent passing rate with all of its 54 examinees passing the exams. The PRC said that 2,426 out of 3,732 passed the Pharmacist board examination.
Luouisian Anne Mhari Gacutano Antalan is No. 7 in the licensure exam with 92.73 rating.
SLU School of Natural Sciences Dean Dr. Evelyn Oda said this good performance is because of the hard work being done by the faculty and the students. It could be attributed to several factors including the academic training which is very rigid and a good faculty staffing.
“It really has to do with discipline--the Louisian discipline is part of the success,” she added.
Just recently SLU made another milestone by ranking first for the 15th time in the recent Medical Technology Licensure examinations.
The PRC advised that registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line from March 20 to March 22, 2017. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
Those who will register are required to bring the following: Notice of admission, duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, 2 pieces passport size pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag) and 2 sets of documentary stamps. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The date and venue for the oath taking ceremony of the new pharmacists will be announced later by the PRC.
