Bakakeng National High School's film “Change” win best story award in the BCPO anti-drug short film contest

Bakakeng National High School took home the prize of Php10,000 for winning the first place of the anti-drug  short film contest conducted by the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Department of Education (DepEd). 
Their entry entitled "Change" has won the Special Award: Best Story. 
Six schools submitted entries that were judged by PDEA-CAR Director Edgar Afalla, DepEd Schools Superintendent Atty. Agustin Laban III, Soledad Belwaren of NAPOLCOM and City Social Welfare and Development Officer Betty Fangasan.
Baguio City National High School with the entry “Sa Dulo ng Pag-asa” bagged second place with a cash prize of P7, 000,
Guisad Valley National High School took home P5, 000 for their entry “Tulak ng Kanser”, which also bagged the special awards for best actor and actress, best picture, and best editing.
Special award of commendation was also given to the non - winning participants namely Pinsao National High School, Irisan National High School, and Baguio City National High School- Fort del Pilar Annex.
BCPO Acting City Director PSSupt Ramil Saculles said the activity aims to look into the view of students on illegal drugs  so that law enforcement agencies may learn the right approach in their advocacy campaign to the younger generation. He disclosed that they are considering the possibility of tapping the Commission on Higher Education in expanding their film festival project to higher educational institutions in Baguio.
