Most perpetrators of crime in the city of Baguio are from other provinces - BCPO


The Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) has revealed that perpetrators of crimes in the city were not  locals but mostly by people from other provinces.

In an article posted on BCPO's Facebook account, it says that there is higher percentage of crime that were committed by offenders from other province. Particular crimes committed according to the article are of traffic violations.

"Perpetrators of crimes in the city of Baguio, upon evaluation on their personality would provide that, most are not residents of the city. Also, for violators of City Ordinances, particularly on traffic violations, most are origins of other provinces. Providing therefore, that a higher percentage of these offenders originate from outside Baguio’s AOR.
The BCPO is one with the people of Baguio, in promoting peace and order, cleanliness, and prosperity. In line, it supports the City Government, all Non-Government linkages, stakeholders, and supporters in promoting a healthy society for each one to live comfortably.
The BCPO under the leadership of its Acting City Director upholds its PNP Plans and Programs on Anti-Criminality, Anti-Illegal Drugs, Anti-Illegal Gambling, and against all forms of illegal activities in the city.

BCPO, being a Law Enforcement Agency in the City of Baguio, mandated to enforce national laws and local ordinances, it shall continuously promote public safety, at the same time, sustaining Baguio’s beauty and serenity.
BCPO reminds the public, through TRIMP and community engagement that the discipline instilled in the people of Baguio remains in them, not wanting nor aiming to commit acts to tarnish or destroy Baguio culture.
The BCPO continuous to promote the City of Baguio through TRIMP, appealing to migrants, visitors, patronizers, and travelers to uphold the peace, orderliness, cleanliness, and beauty of Baguio City, by not causing any form of illegality, lawlessness, disorder, or disturbance when they come visit us.
BCPO continuously conducts interaction and networking with our local partners to help us in this advocacy, aiming to keep Baguio City a paradise.
